After about 3 and a half months on road traveling mostly by bicycle I decided it was time to head home. I had some really great experiences and met some awesome people along the way, but it just felt like it was time to get back to Ohio and direct energy elsewhere. I gained a lot by traveling and traveling the way I did, but now it seems there are more important things for me to be doing. I'm not exactly sure what, but I've got some ideas worth exploring.
The Rawbrahs radical honesty retreat that I went to in Nicaragua reopened my eyes to the benefits of being radically honest and open and is helping me explore my emotions more fully. It was such a fun experience where i met some radical people, had some very meaningful conversations and made some great friends. After the retreat I hopped on a bus for San Juan del Sur where I took it easy for a while and reevaluated what i was doing and what I wanted to do next. I put my bike together and went for some long rides in the surrounding area. I loved the freedom that I felt when i got back on the bike again. I explored some different beaches and back roads and never felt in the slightest bit unsafe. My lack of Spanish skills didn't allow me to talk or connect with locals leaving me unfulfilled in that area. After staying at a hostel on the beach in San Juan for 11 days I decided that, right now, my time would be better spent on things that are more important to me rather than using all my energy bicycling all day and seeing new places. I booked a flight home where it's only five degrees and now I'm sitting next to a fire typing this. It feels really good to be home! I'm looking forward to talking with all of you about my travels as well as what you've been up to!

Made it to Nicaragua safe and sound!
Me and my bike both made it safely into Nicaragua at 1:30am last night. I got a hotel room at the Best Western right across the street. I definitely need to learn spanish fast! It's a beautiful day today; here's a picture of me sitting outside my hotel room. I'm getting picked up for the retreat in a couple hours and will hopefully have wifi to stay in touch. Talk to you soon. Have a fantastic day!

Video, Skydiving and Nicaragua!
I had a great Christmas with my family and now it's time to keep moving. It felt great and stay in Florida for a couple weeks and relax with my family before being out on my own again. My brother, grandpa and I went skydiving together! That was a rush! For those of you that don't know, from here I'm flying with my bike to Nicaragua. From there I'll be cycling through Honduras, El Salvador, Gautemala, Belize, Mexico and up to California. I may have limited internet down there, but I'll try to stay in touch as much as possible. My grandpa got me a new mountain bike to take since the roads won't be as nice down there. I'm excited for a new kind of riding. I'm looking forward to fully experiencing a new culture and meeting all the great people of Central America!
